As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be based out of their Southern Surrey division, playing a pivotal role in supporting two Senior Quantity Surveyors across the region\’s five live projects.
This position provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience and mentorship from industry experts, ensuring you develop a comprehensive understanding of quantity surveying in a thriving construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist Senior Quantity Surveyors in managing and coordinating all aspects of quantity surveying duties.
– Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for ongoing projects.
– Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
– Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
– Support in the preparation and negotiation of tenders and contracts.
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
– Previous experience in a similar role or a strong placement year within the construction industry.
– Proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools.
