This role is responsible for delivering day-to-day direct tax compliance for the Sofina Europe Group. You will work closely with the wider business to provide tax advice, improve tax processes, and support the wider tax team with ad hoc projects and initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
- CTA qualified with post-qualification experience.
- Accounting qualification preferred but not essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and tax accounting.
- Experience preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns and tax provisions.
- Knowledge of VAT and employment taxes is desirable.
- Motivated self-starter with strong communication and decision-making skills.
- Able to build effective relationships across functions and with external partners.
- Strong project management skills, able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail while maintaining a broader commercial perspective.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and support the review of UK corporation tax returns and associated computations.
- Assist with tax accounting provisions and reporting requirements.
- Provide practical tax advice to finance and operational teams across the business.
- Support process improvements to strengthen tax governance and compliance.
- Assist with responses to tax authority queries and information requests.
- Contribute to ad hoc tax projects across the European group.
