The Role
Are you reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to work in a practical, outdoor environment with livestock? Sofina Foods is looking for motivated individuals to join our Outdoor Pig Farming Operations in the Inverness area.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work and is open to learning. While experience in agriculture is an advantage, it\βs not essential β we\βll provide comprehensive training to help you thrive in your role.
Due to the rural locations of our farms, having your own transport is essential.
Starting Rate : Β£12.21
Experienced Rate (12 months +) : Β£12.61
Hours of work β
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm (approx).
Friday 8am to 4pm. (Weekend work is required on a rota basis).
Every third Thursday 4am to 1pm (Start time with Seasonal Variability).
The Ideal Candidate
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- A self-starter with good reliability and timekeeping
- Open to learning new skills and working as part of a supportive team
- Able to travel to remote sites independently
- Agricultural experience is helpful but not required β we\βll help you build the knowledge and skills you need.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Working with pigs on an outdoor unit, including feeding, moving, serving, and handling the pigs.
- Working as part of a team to maintain and uphold the highest standards of animal welfare.
- Following Health and Safety procedures and to support management in fostering a positive safety culture.
- Maintaining the overall appearance and condition of the farm.
- Safely and effectively operating farm machinery.
