Assistant Management Accountant – Maternity Cover
The Role
We are currently seeking a detail-focused and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join our site finance team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. Supporting the Plant Lead, Finance, this role is integral in delivering strong financial control through monthly reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and continuous improvement reporting.

- Experience in period-end accounting, including accruals and prepayments

- Team player with a flexible and proactive approach
Desirable:
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)

Your Key Responsibilities
The Role
As Assistant Management Accountant, you will:
- Support month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, purchase order reallocations, reconciliations, trial balance review, and preparation of overhead, capex, and utilities reports
- Produce timely and accurate financial reporting, including weekly updates on stock, raw material and PPE spend, and labour reconciliation (internal and third party)
- Maintain strong financial controls through balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasting for capex
- Conduct data accuracy checks on stock production dates and assist with yield reporting cover during absences
- Partner with Central Finance and the Centre of Excellence to drive down parked invoices and DMS cases
- Prepare the Plant Finance CI reporting pack and respond to audit queries as required
- Provide cross-functional finance support across the site as needed
