Overlooking one of the finest views in Sussex stands The Griffin Inn, Fletching, after a good four centuries. Guests can choose between either of our traditional bar areas, boasting open fireplaces and cask ales, or enjoy a more formal environment in our dining room. Step outside to our superb landscaped gardens looking towards Sheffield Park. Our terrace and lawns are ideal for the warmer months, where we fire up the BBQ in the summer and make use of our outside bar. Famous for fine food, unique atmosphere & lengthy wine list, we are a friendly pub with rooms in the heart of the village.
Whilst we have always fed the hungry traveller, we find our current award-winning menu offering does so with more sophistication than ever before. Our bar menu supplies the classics, alongside our seasonal dining menu that draws on the individual styles of our kitchen team. Our 12 rooms are frequented by visitors to nearby outstanding tourist attractions such as Bluebell Railway, Glyndebourne Opera House, and the Ashdown Forest - the famous inspiration behind AA Milne's Winnie the Pooh - all with easy reach of the pub. We are also positioned in the heart of a great golfing area. All of the above are common conversation topics during evenings in the Club Bar.
