We’re looking for a GM Recruiter to join the People Team at Young’s. Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, the role will involve working closely with the People and Operations Team to support the recruitment of exceptional external candidates and the internal succession of our people.

Responsibilities

  • GM Recruitment/Succession
    • Be the main point of contact for General Manager Recruitment – Liaise with Ops Managers and Ops Directors to advertise jobs, screen CVs and interview candidates as required.
    • Recruit General Managers of the Future – i.e. candidates who can join us as strong Deputy Managers and develop with us towards GM over the next 6-12 months.
    • Work with our Management Development Trainer on succession planning, meeting our current GMs-in-training and identifying potential appointments.
    • Discuss potential sites with Recruitment Manager and Management Development Trainer.
    • Attend GM Succession meetings with Recruitment Manager, ODS, COO and People Director as required.
    • Create content to advertise key vacancies and spread the word about our opportunities for LinkedIn etc.
    • Proactive recruitment/headhunting – build an external network of future Young’s GMs.
  • Head Chef Recruitment Support
    • Liaise with OMS and GMS to write and post Head Chef Job Adverts for pubs – ensuring that these are targeted to the individual food vision of each business and optimised to ensure maximum exposure and quality of applications.
    • Screening and interviewing will be done by our GMs/Food Team.
    • Work with the Food Team to promote our Head Chef Designate Programme through external channels.
  • Other Recruitment Support
    • Coach General Managers on recruitment best practice as well as running a quarterly recruitment workshop.
    • Attend Area Operations meetings to promote best practice and assist with Succession planning.
    • Attend Divisional meetings to assist with Succession Planning.
    • Assist in recruitment for Copper House roles as required.
    • Assist the Payroll team and Recruitment Manager in providing Harri System Support/ Managing FAQs on Harri (Our ATS System).
    • Manage enquiries to the Recruitment inbox.
    • Support Recruitment and Succession by undertaking any other duties deemed reasonable and within the scope of the job as the role grows.

  • Ability to think creatively and identify ways to improve our recruitment strategy and processes.
