The Dunstan House Inn is a fantastic pub with rooms, situated in the heart of the local community. We\βre about nostalgic British food, real ale, wines from around the world and a range of gins. Our team is ambitious and positive, focused on putting guests first. Upstairs, there are six en-suite guest bedrooms, and we are close to the seaside and town centre.
In the Summer we are bustling with a popular beer garden and an outdoor bar; in the Winter we transform into a cosy winter retreat with hearty pub classics served from our kitchen team all week long. We encourage training and development to grow team skills and careers during your time with us.
Being a Head Chef at Young\\\βs
You will write your own recipes to match the food vision of the business using fresh seasonal ingredients. The food vision may showcase local produce, country pub classics, seafood, small plates and sharers, or dry-aged meat. Each pub is different, so you will put your own creative stamp on the vision. We work with fresh, seasonal produce, so the menu should evolve to highlight ingredients at their best.

This role requires someone who can inspire a team, develop, cost and produce fresh seasonal menus for the variety of revenue streams within the business.
- Experience championing excellent service through quality food as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
- Passion for leading and developing a team
- Active hands-on team player with excellent communication skills
- Responsible for managing kitchen staff rota, training and health and safety
- Creativity to design and deliver new dishes for menus and daily specials
- Strong planning and organizational skills to maintain GP and labour controls
- Pro-active approach to driving sales and growth through engagement with kitchen and front of house
