Divisional Executive Chef – Field based – Up to 45k plus travel expenses & bonus
Responsibilities of our Divisional Executive Chef:
Reporting to the Director of Food and aligned to one of our Operations Directors, you will be collaboratively responsible for developing the food offer throughout your division of circa 70 individual pubs; by taking a hands-on approach to influencing teams on new menus that achieve and exceed agreed sales & profit growth targets in a safe & compliant business.
You’ll be the ambassador for people development, ensuring our team awareness of the chef career pathway is used to support a team that are fully trained and supported to excel within their roles as well as having a fine eye for future vacancies
Leading the charge for exemplary standards across the division, the Executive chef role will also encompass inspiring our teams through annual road shows, inspirational trips as well as CAPEX development projects

From poetic pubs steeped in history to secret underground cocktail bars, the character and individuality of each of our premises gives them a unique feel.
Our food offer is freshly produced in house & dictated by the British seasons. We’re all about fantastic premium pub food and have individual menus to fit the vision of each of our businesses, where the onus is on the General manager & Head Chef to implement their own menus following Youngs food strategy and their business plans.
What we are looking for in our Divisional Executive Chef:
- Extensive knowledge of British seasonal produce, food trends & best in class premium pub food within a variety of establishments
- Minimum 3 years experience in an Executive or Senior Head Chef role
- Ability to demonstrate team development & succession
- Ability to inspire a team, and articulate clear & confident messages
- Proven track record of managing & developing a food offer, ideally in a premium pub environment
- Full understanding of stock management & recipe creation in a compliant kitchen environment
- Sound knowledge and awareness of kitchen H&S
