An exciting opportunity for a Senior .Net Developer / Senior Software Engineer to combine their strong Microsoft .Net development experience with modern AI technology by playing a key role building up our clients AI driven capabilities. It's a role for a keen and confident Developer / Software Engineer that enjoys autonomy and embracing new technologies working in fast paced delivery focussed environments. It would best suit those used to working for small to medium sized businesses (SME's) and is open to those already operating at a Senior level as well as those looking to take a step-up.

Our client recently brought development in-house and are building a team that already includes two highly capable Mid-Level Full-stack Engineers to migrate a complex monolithic booking system to a new .Net 10 Azure-native microservices solution. Reporting directly into the CTO, the Senior Developer will be hands‑on as well as making pragmatic architectural and engineering decisions that keep delivery front and centre including building up their AI offering.

To be considered for this exciting greenfield opportunity you'll need the following skills and experience:

  • 6+ years commercial experience as a Developer or Software Engineer predominantly with Microsoft development tools (experience as a Senior or Lead or Mentor etc is beneficial but not essential)
  • Strong backend development experience
  • Strong C# / .NET experience from 8 onwards
  • Strong Azure cloud-native development experience - AKS / Container Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Azure DevOps etc
  • Good knowledge and experience with Azure AI Foundry
  • Strong SQL / SQL Server experience — schema design, EF Core migrations, query performance tuning etc
  • Good knowledge of software architecture, scalability and best practice
  • Experience with Microservices patterns
  • Experience with Frontend Development - React / TypeScript / Angular etc
  • Strong team player and comfortable engaging with business stakeholders and 3rd party partners.

This role is perfect for those who thrive in small, flat-structured, collaborative team environments where your contribution makes a real difference. Salary will reflect experience and likely to be in the £70,000 - £90,000 range although higher would be considered. The client can also offers working from home on a Monday and Friday.
