Are you an experienced carpenter or Assistant Site Manager with strong leadership skills and a background in new-build residential developments?
Our client are looking for a Carpentry Site Supervisor to oversee carpentry works across new-build housing projects in Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled carpenter with supervisory experience who can lead a team, maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure projects stay on programme.
- 🛠️ The Role
- Coordinate carpenters and day-to-day site activities.
- Supervise timber frame, roofing, first fix, second fix and final carpentry works, including snagging.
- Ensure workmanship meets drawings, specifications and NHBC quality standards.
- Plan labour and material requirements.
- Liaise with the housebuilder’s site management team and our Contracts Manager.
- Monitor progress, variations and any issues affecting delivery.
- Promote safe working practices and maintain excellent site housekeeping.
- 👷 What We’re Looking For
- Strong carpentry background with experience in new-build housing.
- Previous experience supervising carpenters or leading a site team.
- Ability to read drawings, organise workloads and meet deadlines.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
- A valid CSCS card and your own transport.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred.
