Senior Technical Co-Ordinator / Technical Manager Role Overview: Our privately owned and well established client are looking for Senior Technical Coordinator or Technical Manager to join the business in leading three bespoke projects. Offering the chance to be at the heart of a dynamic construction team, coordinating all technical information required to design and build residential developments. From the planning stages through to tender, detail design, NHBC compliance, on-site build, and handover, this position is integral to ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently. This is a very rare opportunity to join the business only due to an upcoming retirement, operating throughout the Thames Valley. Key Responsibilities: β Prepare and coordinate design drawings at the tender stage. β Manage and liaise with external designers and suppliers. β Coordinate roads and sewer adoption processes. β Liaise with external bodies to provide comprehensive site-wide drawing packages. β Conduct site visits to establish constraints and assist site teams. β Distribute design documents and provide technical advice. β Produce house type drawing packages and liaise with key suppliers. β Assist in fee negotiation and the appointment of consultants. β Coordinate the submission of Planning & Building Regulation Applications and obtain necessary approvals. Skills & Experience Required: β Educational Background: 2 A-Levels or equivalent in Art, Science, Maths, Design, or related subject, or BTEC HND/HNC in Design or Construction, or several years of relevant experience. β Experience: 5+ years in a design office environment, preferably within a residential developer. β Technical Proficiency: Competent in AutoCAD and proficient in MS Office software packages. β Construction Knowledge: Working knowledge of construction techniques and architectural knowledge is advantageous. β Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. β Analytical Skills: Practical, methodical, and able to work under pressure with good analytical skills. β Additional Qualifications: CSCS Card advantageous, knowledge of BIM, and experience in a construction environment. Desirable Attributes: β Design/drafting experience within the housing sector. β Knowledge of other design packages (Photoshop, JPA Designer, Sketch-Up). β Ability to prepare SAP Assessments and obtain PEAβs/EPCβs. β Strong mathematical ability and an accurate eye for detail. Health and Safety: β Adhere to the companyβs Health and Safety policies and procedures. β Report any accidents or near misses immediately. β Maintain a tidy workplace and eliminate hazards. β Wear appropriate protective clothing on-site and attend all required health and safety training.
