Our client, one of the UK’s most established and consistently 5 star rated house builders, are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join the NHBC PIJ award winning business on a development in West Sussex.
Role Responsibilities
- Managing daily operations and providing clear direction to site staff.
- Implementing and adhering to health and safety procedures in collaboration with Health and Safety Managers.
- Motivating and supporting site staff through training, coaching, and toolbox talks.
- Ensuring site presentation and production requirements meet the highest standards.
- Conforming to building regulations and warranty providers’ requirements.
- Maintaining accurate site records and ensuring remedial work is completed before inspections.
Required Experience, Qualifications, And Skills
- Experience: Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager with a high‑volume residential house builder. Effective team management and up‑to‑date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation are essential.
- Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above), valid CSCS card at Site Manager level, SMSTS certificate, and First Aid certificate. Desirable qualifications include Construction Management (HNC Level 4, HND Level 5, or NVQ Level 6), Scaffold Appreciation, and LOLER certificates.
- Skills: Strong communication and listening skills, good administration abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial.
