Are you ready to embark on a fulfilling journey in SEN Tutoring? Young Giants is currently seeking passionate SEN Tutorsto support learners in Wandsworth, London. The tuition provision is in-person as one-to-one sessions. These will initially take place in the learner\’s home setting, and may move to venue within the community. This is a unique opportunity to use your experience and personal qualities to make a positive impact on a person\’s life and enable them to fulfil their potential. Young Giants is a holistic and inclusive term-time tuition and mentoring service, providing an alternative education provision supporting children who are temporarily out of school, as day time one-to-one tuition and mentoring.

As a managed education service, not a tuition agency, we remain responsible for the management and quality of education provided to each of our learners. Founded and run by qualified teachers, we work closely alongside our tutors in assessing and maintaining effective needs-based programmes of education support.

Your Role at Young Giants:

As a SEN Tutor you will play a crucial role in delivering a bespoke educational plan in an engaging and meaningful way. Your responsibilities will include:

β€’ Ability to provide a creative learning approach; incorporating a variety of activities based on the learners\’ interests to aid learning engagement

β€’ Demonstrate confidence and knowledge supporting children with SEND

β€’ Adhere to consistent fixed termly timetables with scheduled lesson times

You offer Young Giants:

β€’ Dedication to the overall academic development of the learners and support re-engagement in learning

β€’ C ommitment to fixed termly timetables and ensuring lessons run as scheduled to provide a predictable and reliable provision which the learner deserves

β€’ Understand it hasn\’t always been an easy path travelled to this point for our learners, compassion and empathy are key

β€’ Minimum Bachelor\’s Degree or strong youth work experience/qualification

β€’ Minimum 2 years teaching or mentoring SEN learners including ASD/ASC, ADHD & SEMH within SEND schools, youth groups or private settings

β€’ Enhanced DBS on the DBS Update system or self fund the fee of Β£65.20

β€’ Competent understanding of safeguarding and uphold mandatory training

β€’ Ability to travel to outlined location

What Young Giants offer:

Weekly hours: Various Part time hours on a self employed / PAYE basis

Travel contribution: Β£7 to each learner\’s location
