At Younger People With Dementia (YPWD), we walk alongside people living with young onset dementia and their families. Our Support Workers play a vital role in helping people stay connected, independent and supported at a time of life when dementia isn’t expected. We are not always recruiting for support workers at a given time, but we are always keen to hear from people who share our values and would like to be part of our organisation. - Supporting people diagnosed with dementia under the age of 65 – often still working, parenting and leading active lives
- You’ll facilitate inclusive, accessible activities, from singing and art to walking and workshops that build connection, confidence and wellbeing

- A caring, compassionate nature and a genuine interest in supporting people
- Good communication skills and a positive, flexible approach
- This role requires initiative, adaptability and a strong sense of empathy
- You don’t need prior dementia care experience, but if you have it, great! Most of all, you just need the heart for it
- You’re based in Berkshire or Surrey Borders (and nearby area) and can travel. A full UK driving licence and roadworthy vehicle insured for business use are required
