Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Mentor Manager to join our team in Stevenage, supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a Mentor Manager, you will lead a team of mentors, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality mentoring relationships and outcomes for our young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of mentors, providing regular supervision and support
- Develop and implement mentoring plans tailored to individual young people's needs
- Build relationships with schools, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective collaboration
- Oversee safeguarding procedures, ensuring all mentors are up-to-date with training and best practices
- Contribute to the development of our SEND provision and strategic plans
Essential Criteria
- 2+ years' experience working with SEND young people
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK Safeguarding policies and procedures
- Experience of managing staff or volunteers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and creatively
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ, Diploma, or Degree in a related field)
