At YoungEducation, a distinguished name in the Primary and Secondary Education sector, we are currently seeking a dedicated Biology Tutor to join our team, focusing on GCSE and A Level students. This pivotal role is designed for an individual passionate about fostering a love for biology amongst young learners, enabling them to achieve academic excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the biology curriculum, demonstrate exceptional pedagogical skills, and maintain a commitment to delivering high‑quality, personalised education. With YoungEducation, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic educational environment, inspire the next generation of scientists, and shape the future of education in biology.
Working hours would be daytime Monday to Friday, after school or on Saturdays to deliver tuition to clients at our Stevenage Tuition Centre. Lessons will be a combination of one‑to‑one and small group sessions. There is no need to commit to multiple days; we are keen to hear from applicants with a range of availabilities.
Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver engaging biology lessons for GCSE and A Level students
- Create lesson plans and materials tailored to individual student needs
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Help students develop their understanding of key biological concepts and improve exam technique
- Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support student learning and development
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field
- Previous experience in tutoring GCSE and A Level students
