Young Artists is a London-based management company that creates environments which nurture artists and builds them long term careers. We are looking for an experienced artist or project manager to handle the day to day management of a critically acclaimed and commercially successful pop artist living in London. You will be based at Young Space, our offices in East London, but will also spend a significant amount of time working remotely and traveling with the artist. You will report to the Primary Manager who is based in Los Angeles, so your working hours will be flexible.
In addition to the Primary Manager, you will also benefit from the support of the Senior Management team at Young Artists as well as the wider team of A&R and management staff. You will run communications between the artist, their primary manager and their wider teams including label, live agent, publishing company, merch partner, lawyer, and accountant. You will be comfortable representing the artist in meetings with partners whilst also providing a world class administrational foundation.
Alongside the Primary Manager, you will be the first point of contact for the artist with ready access to all artist related assets as well as being able to secure answers to time sensitive requests. The ideal candidate is someone who can not only respond to direction but can reliably oversee artist administration, run effective communication and positively motivate campaign teams. The role requires someone who is responsive, adaptable and comfortable with evolving priorities, someone who is able to work on multiple projects at the same time.
Responsibilities- Overseeing the day to day management of the artist
- Regular communication with each artist and their wider teams
- Clear, structured and regular communication with the Primary Manager and Young Artists team
- Traveling with the artist to key promo and live events
- Co-ordinating every aspect of release campaigns
- Managing the touring and team
- Managing the artists’ social media strategy, creative and execution
- Overseeing the artists’ merchandising
- Representing the artist in meetings with partners
- Maintaining a shared diary for the artist
- Producing schedules, itineraries and day sheets for the artists
- Planning and booking travel and accommodation
- Managing and seeking approval on all requests
- Maintaining a detailed sync log
- Overseeing all budgets including recording, touring and promo
- Processing invoices and chasing monies owed
- Securely storing all artist assets online
- Managing meeting agendas, notes and action points
- Build a relationship with the artist
- Identify the best way to communicate with the artists
- Create the agendas and circulate notes for the weekly management meetings
- Set up the artist’s diary
- Create a one-sheet for the artist
