Young is a music and arts organisation, built around a London-based record label, that helps exceptional artists locate and develop their genius. We are looking for an experienced, culturally embedded digital strategist to lead audience development across the Young Recordings and Young Artists roster. Based at Young Space in East London, you will work cross-functionally with Project Managers, Marketing, Press, Creative and Management teams — defining, directing and optimising digital campaigns that feel native to each platform and audience.

Your deep understanding of online culture and platform behaviour will see you play a vital role in shaping how our artists' work is amplified and reaches their communities. You will move fluidly across a diverse roster, developing bespoke strategies across new release campaigns and catalogue, and connecting music to the moments and scenes that matter. You will be comfortable directing internal teams and briefing external creators, while bringing a rigorous, data-informed approach to performance. The right person is someone who actively identifies and drives opportunities, is deeply immersed in digital culture, highly strategic, and energised by building the kind of campaigns that make music travel.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead bespoke digital strategy across the rosters to grow audiences globally in line with overall campaign and artist goals.
  • Define platform-specific strategies and map content arcs for key campaign moments.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure campaigns align with broader narrative and audience goals and are integrated with ancillary activity such as touring and partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to develop and optimise digital strategy around real-time moments.
  • Work closely with internal teams and managers to anticipate moments and prepare assets in advance.
  • Brief creators and internal teams on platform-native content and ensure assets are optimised for shareability and seeding.
  • Define and maintain seeding objectives per campaign.
  • Collaborate with the Audience Coordinator to maintain tailored and evolving creator and community lists.
  • Review campaign and social performance data to ensure digital strategies adapt in real time to platform and audience behaviour.
Experience
  • A strong track record of growing and engaging audiences for artists or music brands, with a demonstrable understanding of release cycles and digital marketing best practices.
  • Deep knowledge of platform behaviour across social, streaming, and direct-to-fan ecosystems, with hands-on experience of community and creator platforms.
  • Confident working with analytics, CRM and audience insight tools to measure performance and inform strategy.
  • A sharp editorial instinct and the ability to direct teams on content, creative and optimisation decisions.
  • Experience working directly with artists and managers, with the cultural literacy and interpersonal awareness that brings.
  • Proactive, highly organised, and genuinely embedded in music and online culture.

To apply please send your CV and application task to: cv@y-o-u-n-g.com with the email title “Digital Strategist Application”. Applications close 6pm on Thursday 2nd April. The role requires that you have the right to work in the UK long term.

Application task - max. 5–7 slides or 1–2 pages: Choose one artist from the Young Recordings or Young Artists roster and outline a social strategy that connects their music to a relevant cultural moment today. This can centre around either a current release or catalogue repertoire. Please outline:

  • The cultural insight or online moment driving the strategy.
  • The core narrative or campaign framing.
  • Platform-specific tactics and content ideas.
  • Potential digital creators, communities or scenes you would engage.
  • Opportunities for reactive or real-time moments.
