Chelmsford Public Schools is accepting applications for the anticipated vacancy for a Technology Engineering Teacher at Chelmsford High School. The district reserves the right to change or not fill based on staffing, enrollment, or budget.

Description: Design and develop competency‑based student learning activities addressing high school standards in technology and engineering. Teach students to use critical thinking skills to create and solve problems with practical application in the woodshop setting within Furniture and Construction Management. Review curriculum, inventory, and submit supply orders for program delivery. Responsible for routine upkeep of the woodshop area and equipment. Perform additional duties as requested per CFT contract.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Massachusetts certification in Technology/Engineering 5-12 required or Vocational License within the Construction Cluster desired.
  • Experience with PLTW programming preferred; successful candidate must complete PLTW training.
  • Familiarity with high school‑state standards in technology/engineering and willingness to become familiar with Math and Science standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize computers and related educational software to support instruction.
  • Comfortable using power tools with students.
  • Creative engagement in core curriculum projects using tools, design skills, and group instruction.

Licensure: Technology/Engineering 5-12 required; Vocational Licensure within the Construction Cluster desired. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
