The Role

Make a meaningful impact through financial excellence. YWCA Singapore is seeking a mission-driven Finance Executive to steward our financial resources and strengthen the sustainability of our programmes which empower women, families, and communities. This role oversees finance management and revenue strategy across YWCA as a charity with IPC (Institute of Public Character) status and its hospitality-based social enterprise, YWCA Fort Canning, where all net profits support community services. Guided by YWCA’s core values, you will be responsible for processing and verifying supplier invoices, staff claims, staff reimbursements, and payment, General Ledger (GL) function, bank reconciliation, GST preparation, and fixed assets records.

The Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable
    • Review, verify, and process supplier invoices, staff claims, and reimbursements in a timely manner
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., Store Officer & Purchaser) to obtain supporting documents such as PRF, PO and DO and to resolve discrepancies if arises
    • Support Month end stock take (sample checks)
  • General Ledger & Month-End Closing
    • Prepare and post monthly journals
    • Maintain balance sheet schedules and perform reconciliations for month/year end closing
    • Prepare quarterly GST submission
    • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances
    • Maintain Fixed Assets and Operating Equipment Registers
    • Prepare monthly financial management report
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Assist in preparing manual tax invoice for corporate and travel agencies
    • Assist in preparing payment link
    • Assist the Assistant Finance Manager in preparing the annual budget
    • Assist the Assistant Finance Manager in liaising with the external auditor for the annual statutory audit

The Requirements

Possess a Diploma in Accountancy and/or LCCI. At least 2 years of relevant working experience handling partial/full set of accounts.
