The role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will have a fantastic and rare opportunity to play a transformative role in a dynamic delivery team, working on new and exciting projects as part of a rapidly expanding organisation. You will be responsible for providing engineering lifecycle oversight into our expanding engineering team for a major UK programme.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities

  • Generate detailed specifications, designs, and other technical deliverables, working closely with peers to support engineering change and ensure adherence to process.
  • Support system design delivery, including requirements management, justification, and decomposition.
  • Participate in validation, verification, testing and acceptance activities, including writing and running test events.
  • Support the build and deployment of strategic communication systems.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) and 2 days working from home. Flexible on start and finish times.

Essential Experience

  • Experience or transferable knowledge of IP Networks and IP Voice Network engineering experience.
  • Firewall configuration and administration.
  • System development and/or engineering change experience.
  • Experience writing and executing test plans, test events, and acceptance activities.

Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering.
  • Incorporated / Chartered Engineer or working towards.
  • Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
