Goldman Bailey Solicitors are a busy firm based in Camden Town, specialising in criminal defence and immigration
work. We are looking for a paralegal to join our criminal team.
About the role
The role will involve a mixture of casework and administration as well as attending police stations, including out of hours, and providing cover for out of hours calls. Police station accreditation a strong advantage, but candidates with previous criminal defence experience would be assisted to obtain this.
About you
You must have a strong academic background, a law degree or equivalent as minimum, and have a demonstrated commitment to this area of practice and legal aid work. Applicants will need to be hard-working and highly organised, with excellent attention to detail. Strong communication and drafting skills and the ability to offer first-class client care are essential. Experience of dealing with clients with vulnerabilities preferred.
We offer a friendly, supportive environment and actively encourage career development. It is anticipated that this will be a part-time role initially (3-4 days pw) but may develop into a full-time position.
