This is an exciting role and will suit someone who enjoys using the law creatively and working collaboratively. In this role you will contribute to the development of ATLEU’s work securing support and safe and appropriate accommodation for survivors of trafficking.

This role offers opportunities to do traditional housing law and public law cases related to accommodation and support, alongside the opportunity to do public law cases beyond the housing remit if you are interested in this.

In particular this role will allow you to develop your knowledge of ‘housing outside the housing act’ as you will have the opportunity to take on cases involving asylum support and accessing accommodation under the Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract.

We are ideally looking for a candidate with a minimum of three years’ PQE / relevant legal experience and experience of providing supervision, and who can perform the role of Housing legal aid category supervisor. We would also ideally like someone who is an authorised litigator. The salary for the role will reflect the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate, in line with ATLEU’s pay scale.

We are open to applications from candidates who would like to work part time or flexibly, and to people who do not currently meet the Housing supervisor requirements, but think you could meet the requirements in a reasonable time.

Or you may have less than three years of relevant housing experience but may be able to meet the supervisor requirements. If you are someone who has not yet been a supervisor, or who has been out of legal aid work for a while but would like to return to housing casework and supervision, we are interested to hear from you.

We are looking for candidates who are intelligent, resilient, exceptional communicators and passionate about ATLEU’s mission and values.
