Our tutors are at the heart of the operation, delivering these programmes straight to learners. The Role
You’ll use your relevant knowledge and experience to deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition sessions to our learners with SEND, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH. Sessions will always take place during the day, according to fixed timetables, either in a learner’s home or local community venue. More specifically, you will:
- Teach Maths and/or English for KS1 / KS2 / KS3 / KS4, plus additional subjects based on your specialism.
- Use creative, engaging educational approaches tailored to each learner’s interests.
- Build positive relationships and foster confidence in our learners.
Requirements About You
We’re looking for passionate tutors with the following qualifications, experience and skills:
- At least 2 years of experience teaching SEN learners.
- Relevant and up-to-date curriculum and subject knowledge.
- The ability to combine mentoring and academics, building trust and supporting each learner on their personal journey.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and a willingness to complete any mandatory training necessary in this area.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain).
- Ability to travel to learner locations.
- Dedication to making a long‑term difference in our learners’ lives.
- Compassion, patience and resilience.
