About Mulroy House

At Mulroy House, we know that caring for children and young people starts with building positive relationships. Located in Middlesbrough, Mulroy House has five bedrooms for young people aged 8 to 18. We specialise in supporting those with social, emotional, and mental health needs, offering care that celebrates individuality. Our dedicated team ensures each young person feels respected, supported, and safe – empowering them to thrive and look forward to a brighter future.

What Makes This Role Unique

  • Lead and guide young adults at critical life stages—use your influence to help shape futures.
  • Be part of a supportive, tight-knit team in a role set within a homely environment.
  • Provide structure and positive role modelling to support young people managing mental health challenges.

This Role Is for You If You

  • Value teamwork, leadership, and responsibility.
  • Are passionate about helping young people develop life skills and independence.
  • Stay calm and adaptable under pressure.
  • Communicate effectively with both young people and colleagues.
  • Are reliable, proactive, and committed to making a real impact.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and a fulfilling, long-term career.
  • Fully funded professional training (Level 3/4 Health & Social Care, Therapeutic Childcare degree).
  • Clear career progression routes into senior roles.
  • Salary sacrifice scheme, enhanced leave, and a supportive team culture.
  • Ongoing career development, wellness support, and on-the-job training.

We welcome and encourage applications from men, who are currently underrepresented in social care roles—only 18% of the adult social care workforce is male, and we believe diverse teams make stronger teams.
