Overview

Youth Housing Support Worker (Sleep in) – Job Ref 25-46. Two positions available: 2 night shifts per week. One position available: 3 night shifts per week. Permanent contracts. Based in Exeter. £129.04 per night shift.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, conscientious person to join our Supported Housing team in our Exeter project.

Responsibilities

  • Lone working with young people (aged 16-25) who have a range of support and housing needs.
  • Provide a holistic service assisting with accessing benefits, managing finances, health and wellbeing, maintaining accommodation, and accessing education, employment or training.
  • Offer additional support and sign-posting for other needs as required.
  • Adopt a creative, person-centred approach and adapt communication style to help individuals establish and work towards their goals and aspirations.
  • Take an active role in the management and oversight of the buildings, undertaking health and safety checks.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Motivated, conscientious candidate with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with young people and tailor support to individual needs.
  • Willingness to undertake health and safety checks and contribute to a safe living environment.
