Do you believe young people should have real influence over the services, opportunities and decisions that affect their lives? Are you passionate about building relationships with young people, creating safe spaces for their voices to be heard and supporting them to shape meaningful change in their communities?
Young Devon is looking for a Youth Worker to support the development of participation and youth voice opportunities across our services and projects. Through a relationship-based Youth Work approach, you will support young people to explore their identity, strengths and aspirations whilst creating opportunities for them to contribute to projects, influence decisions and shape the development of services through participation, co-design and feedback.
You will work alongside young people to create engaging activities, groups and opportunities that support confidence, connection and belonging, whilst helping Young Devon remain responsive, inclusive and shaped by the experiences and voices of young people. Evidence of participation and impact, including “You Said / We Did” approaches, will be an important part of the role.
We are looking for someone who can build positive and trust-based relationships with young people, is creative and reflective in their practice and believes in the value of young people taking an active role in shaping their communities and services.
We welcome applications from those with lived experience who have transferable skills.
Closing date: 12 noon on Wednesday 24th June 2026
Young Devon provides generous holiday entitlement from day one, not to mention our welcoming, kind and passionate workplace culture. Access to training and career development opportunities.
We are not a sponsorship organisation for overseas candidates. Young Devon is a youth work charity (1057949) committed to embracing diversity. We are an equal opportunities employer and particularly welcome applicants from areas under-represented within our workforce.
