About Us

Young Crisis Hub is part of a fast‑growing network of services that exist to bridge the gap between Tier 4 CAMHS, community mental health, and children’s social care. Our leadership team has deep experience across Tier 4 hospitals, crisis intervention, and step‑down pathways. We’re on a mission to design new models of care for young people in acute distress — particularly those detained under DOLS or stepping down from hospital settings where traditional care provision simply can’t cope.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an exceptional Lead CAMHS Nurse (RMN or RNLD) with strong experience in Tier 4 or crisis environments who’s ready to take the next step in their career. This role is designed as a fast‑track leadership pathway leading to the management of your own registered children’s home within 12–18 months. You’ll work alongside a highly experienced multi‑disciplinary team to open and shape a solo crisis home supporting young people in acute distress, often under DOLS, and help define a new national model for therapeutic crisis provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership in the setup and day‑to‑day running of a solo crisis children’s home.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor care plans and risk management strategies for young people presenting with complex needs or detained under DOLS.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the residential care team to deliver safe, therapeutic, and trauma‑informed practice.
  • Liaise with local authorities, CAMHS teams, ICBs, and hospital discharges to ensure continuity of care and effective step‑down transitions.
  • Contribute to governance, compliance, and clinical audit processes.
  • Undertake your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care (fully funded).
  • Progress into a Registered Manager position within 6‑12 months, leading your own home and staff team.

Requirements

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or RNLD.
  • Experience within a Tier 4 CAMHS, PICU, or crisis setting.
  • Strong understanding of DOLS, safeguarding, and crisis/risk management.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience (e.g. senior nurse, charge nurse, team leader).
  • Passion for improving outcomes for young people and shaping innovative models of care.
  • Willingness to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care (funded by us).

Why Join Us?

  • Fast‑Track Leadership: Clear pathway to Registered Manager or Regional Clinical Lead.
  • Training & Development: Funded Level 5 Diploma + bespoke leadership mentoring from our senior management team.
  • Impact: Help build a model of care that the current system can’t provide — creating real alternatives to Tier 4 hospital admission.
  • Innovation: Be part of a pioneering group blending clinical, social care, and crisis expertise under one umbrella.
  • Growth: Join a high‑growth organisation with new homes and crisis hubs launching nationally.

How to Apply

If you’re a CAMHS nurse who’s ready to step out of the ward and into a leadership role that will truly shape the future of crisis care for young people — we’d love to hear from you.
