The Westgate is a welcoming pub with rooms located at the top of the High Street in Winchester. Overlooking the historic town centre, we offer a traditional style British pub experience with a selection of local ales, quality dining, boutique rooms and a warm welcome guaranteed.

What we look for in a Head Housekeeper:

As the successful Head Housekeeper, you will have a passion to deliver exceptional customer service every time, with a friendly outgoing personality and desire to work as part of a team. You will have very high standards and an impeccable eye for detail. The Head Housekeeper plays an important role in the maintenance of our equipment, management of our linen and guest supplies and ensuring all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks and projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard. You’ll get lots of training and have a good time along the way.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the team of housekeepers and housekeeping rota
  • Training housekeepers in standards
  • Reporting to management on the rooms business
  • Handling customer feedback and actions to improve
  • Ordering and managing linen
  • Ordering and managing consumables, cleaning materials and tea/coffees
