A unique pub situated on the Exeter canal, 15 mins walk from the quayside and now 5 minutes from Marsh Barton train station. The pub has one of the largest beer gardens in the south with over 1000 outdoor spaces. We host various events and functions that cater from 100 to our busiest one of the year hijacking 4000 people. With outdoor bars and BBQs, no week is ever the same at the double locks. In the winter we transform into a lovely traditional pub with log fires and dogs galore!

What we look for in our team members:
We are looking for someone to join the team as a part time member, available to work weekends and occasional weekday shifts, with the potential of increasing hours as we enter into the busy summer season. We are looking for someone who will be around to work the Easter and summer holidays as well as during term-time. As a successful member of our front of house team we are looking for someone with a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience every time, with a friendly outgoing personality and desire to work as part of a team. You’ll get lots of training, learn about all our products & have a good time along the way.
Training & Responsibilities:
- Serve guests from behind the bar, pouring pints and preparing drinks from our bespoke Spritz menu
- Take food orders with an understanding of our seasonal menu, upselling where appropriate and relaying allergen and dietary information to the kitchen where necessary
- Deliver food to guests in the pub as well as in our large outdoor area with seating for up to 500 as well as completing check-backs to all guests to ensure customer satisfaction
- Clear plates and glasses and maintaining the pub's cleanliness and tidiness
