HRAdvisor – Fixed Term 1 year position – Up to 48K plus bonus
We\’re looking for an HR Advisor to join our People Team in our head office in Wandsworth on a 1-year fixed term contract. Theideal candidate holds a CIPD Level 5 Qualification or similar and has 3 yearsof experience, preferably within the hospitality industry. This wide-ranging position, based at our head office inWandsworth, would suit someone looking for a fast-paced role in HR in thehospitality industry, that will stretch them and which encourages them to usetheir problem-solving skills to find creative solutions when faced withchallenges.
About Us:
Pubs have been at the very heartof Young\’s since the Company was established in 1831, and today we have over 270pubs and hotels, from contemporary vibrant pubs to small warm and friendlytraditional favourites at the heart of their community. We are looking for a HRAdvisor to work behind the scenes in our HR team, primarily supporting ourOperations Managers and General Managers.
Key responsibilities:
· Actas a key point of contact in providing HR/ER advice to managers at all levelsas well as Head Office-based employees on a broad range of HR/ER mattersincluding, but not limited to, discipline and dismissal, grievance, contracts, absencemanagement, performance management, capability and sickness absence, familyfriendly policies, TUPE and restructure/redundancy.
· Attendhearings (face-to-face or virtual) to advise in person on more complex issuesor matters being managed by senior personnel within the business.
· Recommendsolutions that fit business needs to mitigate ER risks in line with bestpractice, demonstrating fairness, pragmatism and commercialism.
· Actas subject matter expert, coach managers in managing HR and ER matters in linewith legislation, Company practice and general best practice.
· Ensurethat all advice is compliant with both Company practice and procedures as wellas current employment legislation and is consistently applied in all HR matters.
· Buildeffective relationships within the business to promote good employee relationsacross all sites and coach and support managers in taking responsibility for HRand ER management at their sites.
· Supportthe development of guidance, documentation and toolkits to enable excellence ofservice to the business; and
· Providestructured training and/or ad hoc briefings to all levels of employee onemployment matters.
Requirements:
·In-depth, currentknowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice.
·Strong, effectivecommunication skills, in person and in writing, with the ability to coach andchallenge at all levels in the business.
·Ability to build trust andgood working relationships.
·Excellent attention todetail, while working at pace.
·Experience in a similarenvironment; and
·Able to balance the needsof the business with safeguarding our most important asset.
Qualifications:
-CIPD Level 5 (or similar)
-Minimum 3 years\’ experience,ideally within the hospitality industry
