Young Citizens is looking for Corporate Partnerships Manager who thrives at the intersection of stewarding relationships, balancing a busy portfolio and creating strategic alignment to drive partnerships that make an impact for young people.
Your purpose is to grow the partnerships and income that enable Young Citizens to equip more children and young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to become active citizens.
You’ll manage and progress our partnerships with corporates from day one, with the chance to develop our wider funding with trusts, foundations and major donors, comfortable with managing the entire income process from outreach to proposals, with a skill for rapidly securing income and working with an impact mindset to create shared value. Through excellent relationship management, compelling fundraising propositions and effective stewardship, you’ll help increase Young Citizens’ reach, profile and long‑term impact.
- You have a proven track record of securing income through corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, major donors, sponsorship or business development.
- You have experience directly managing and growing relationships with senior stakeholders or funders.
- You are comfortable writing funding proposals, partnership pitches or grant applications.
- You have strong pipeline management experience and are comfortable using CRM systems.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You can influence, negotiate and build long‑term partnerships with a desire to strengthen your strategic fundraising work.
- You have strong organisational skills and can manage competing priorities effectively.
- You have commercial awareness and can identify and convert opportunities.
- You have a proactive, entrepreneurial and collaborative approach that fits with a small yet nationally reaching charity.
- You enjoy contributing to strategy, business development and organisational growth.
- This is a high-impact role with real scope to shape how Young Citizens grows its income, partnerships and long‑term sustainability. You will work closely with senior leadership, take ownership of a key organisational function, and directly contribute to scaling our impact over the coming years.
- You will join a purpose‑led, ambitious and collaborative team committed to strengthening democracy by equipping young people with the skills, knowledge and confidence to participate actively in society.
- We are a growing, agile organisation with a strong focus on learning and development. We invest in our people and provide real opportunities to build expertise, take ownership and grow alongside the organisation as we scale over the next three years.
- We combine a results‑driven culture with flexibility in how we work. Our benefits include 28+ days of annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays), volunteering days, office closure over the Christmas period, full pension contributions on the first 8%, and enhanced leave packages.
- As a relatively small national team, you will have the opportunity to work across the organisation and closely with the CEO, influencing how we improve our programmes, and see the direct impact of your work on our mission.
