We are seeking a Fundraising Volunteer to support us in writing funding proposals, completing funding applications to trusts and foundations, and contacting corporates for sponsorships for events and one-off projects. This role aims to bring our vision into reality and fund the impactful work we do. You will work remotely or from our charity based in Barnet, North London, to help raise funds for our events and organisation in the long term.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and approaching corporate entities, both national and international, for event sponsorships, partnerships, and donations from corporate foundations.
  • Writing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals for funding to trusts, foundations, and other institutions.
  • Communicating with potential partners over email and phone about the work of Strength and Learning Through Horses to secure funds for the charity.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in writing funding proposals and in fundraising is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of corporate fundraising techniques, including Charity of the Year, sponsorship, donations, and marketing, is advantageous.
  • Ability to present and engage potential partners and sponsors compellingly.

We are seeking a motivated and talented volunteer to support us in this role. Working within a small team, you will support Rosie Bensley and assist with corporate, major donor, and other fundraising activities. The ideal candidate should have good written communication skills. While experience in writing funding proposals is desirable, it is not essential. The most important quality is motivation to help us raise funds to improve young people's lives.
