This is a PART-TIME Saturday teaching role (not full-time). Young Actors Academy is looking for a confident, creative and engaging Drama Teacher to lead weekly junior and senior acting sessions in Leicester Forest East. Our approach is ensemble-led and performance-focused, with a strong emphasis on:
- acting technique
- creativity and imagination
- storytelling
- devising
- confidence and communication
- stage performance
We are looking for someone who can lead energetic, well-structured sessions and create a positive, professional rehearsal room environment for children and teenagers.
Requirements:
- Experience teaching children or teenagers
- Strong acting and facilitation skills
- Ability to lead engaging practical workshops
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Reliable, organised and proactive
- Confidence leading rehearsals and performance work
- Directing experience
- Experience with devising and ensemble theatre
- Industry training or professional experience
- LAMDA or youth theatre experience
Pay: Starting at £25 per hour, rising to £40 per hour based on experience and development within the role.
Location: Saturdays: 9:15am–12:45pm
