Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 50 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Centre Manager/ Ed Leader to join our Canterbury leadership team.
As an Assistant Centre Manager and Ed Leader, you will assist with daily operations and leadership of the centre, working closely with the Centre Manager to deliver outstanding outcomes. You’ll help lead the team, ensure compliance, support high-quality programs, and build strong relationships with families and the wider community. A great opportunity to mentor others, influence centre-wide success, and step into Centre Manager duties when required.
This position is a full-time role - Monday to Friday between 6:30 am - 6 pm.
Responsibilities- Provide operational and leadership support to the Centre Manager and broader team.
- Contribute to daily compliance, audits, and centre checklists to maintain safety and quality.
- Assist in the mentoring and development of educators through coaching, supervision and ongoing feedback.
- Build strong relationships with families, managing communication and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Monitor learning environments, classroom displays and resources to ensure alignment with Young Academics' standards.
- Build strong partnerships with the local community.
- Assist with managing budgets, occupancy, rostering, and administrative tasks efficiently to optimise the centre's performance.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail in keeping accurate records & evaluating programs.
- Guide processes and systems within the centre, adhering to the ECA Code of Ethics, specifically experience with OWNA or willingness to learn.
- Advocate for Early Childhood and Young Academics Early Learning Centre.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience leading and managing an Early Learning Centre.
- Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check.
- Child Protection Certificate (NSW Department of Education approved).
- Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices.
