The successful applicant is expected to be a good communicator and have a willingness to learn. A polite and helpful manner together with a keen interest in motorcycles is essential. Riding motorcycles is key to understanding the customer and it is expected that you either hold a full motorcycle license or are working towards obtaining one.
Joining the Youles Sales Team, you will join a team of professional sales executives that are proud to work with some of the top global motorcycle brands. Whilst previous sales experience in the motor trade is not required, some form of experience in dealing with the general public would definitely be an advantage. This position would ideally suit someone that has a knowledge of motorcycles and a background in vehicle sales. However, there is no reason why a person that wants a totally different direction and change in career could not be successful, as sales experience from a whole host of industries would be advantageous.
You will very quickly integrate into the sales team selling Triumph, Suzuki, Piaggio, Vespa, and late used machines. We will help by supplying a large amount of online training in both products and services offered by Youles Motorcycles and the manufacturers that we support. You will attend manufacturer training, some physical and some online.
You will also be required to project the company’s values on customer service and above all be honest and extremely self-motivated.
Your job location will be at our Blackburn Store Pendle Street Blackburn BB1 1NG. Weekend work will be required - this is on a rotating system. Some weekends you will work Saturday only, others Sunday only, and one weekend in four Saturday and Sunday. Hours of business are weekdays 8.30hrs to 17.00hrs, Saturdays 8.30hrs to 17.00hrs, and Sundays 10.30hrs to 16.30hrs. This rota facilitates you having two days off together without long stretches at work.
Holiday entitlement will be 20 days plus bank holidays. Extra days are available for taking time off in winter. Your remuneration will be a basic salary of £20000 plus commission on sales. You would expect to have an OTE of £36000 in your first year. Your basic salary will be reviewed annually. With the right attitude and ability, your salary will be in the region of £40000 by the end of your second year.

The company also contributes to a stakeholder pension scheme with extra payments for long service. After five years you will have the opportunity to enrol in our private medical insurance scheme.
