We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Junior Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team at YouLend. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with strong attention to detail and a keen interest in developing their finance career within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the finance function, assisting with key transactional and reporting processes while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all financial records. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the Accounts Payable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions.
- Monitor and respond to incoming queries in the finance inbox promptly and professionally.
- Assist with reconciling bank accounts and identifying discrepancies or missing transactions.
- File and process supplier invoices accurately into the accounting software, ensuring proper authorisation and coding.
- Opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams gaining exposure to different parts of the business.
- Maintain orderly and compliant financial records and assist with document filing.
- Assist in the year-end and annual audit processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Provide assistance to the wider finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyse and manipulate financial data effectively.
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage internal and external queries effectively.
