The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to lead portfolio monitoring and pricing decisions, working closely with cross‑functional teams, including Commercial, Risk, and Capital. The ideal candidate will have a strong strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance commercial objectives, risk tolerance, and financial outcomes to drive optimal pricing strategies. The Capital Market team is responsible for managing relationships with institutional investors that deploy capital via the YouLend platform; tracking performance of the investment mandates; identifying early trends in the market to take relevant actions; and deploying and reporting on the individual portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Monitoring & Performance Analysis: Monitor portfolio performance across products and vintages, ensuring alignment with capital mandates and covenant requirements, and identifying trends, risks, and return drivers to inform pricing and portfolio decisions.
- Asset Allocation & Capital Mandates: Manage asset allocation across capital mandates, ensuring portfolios remain within mandate limits, concentration thresholds, and covenant requirements.
- Pricing Impact & Sensitivity Analysis: Evaluate the impact of pricing changes on portfolio returns, risk metrics, and capital efficiency, including margin, loss, and yield sensitivities.
- Scenario & Stress Testing: Build and run scenario and stress analyses to assess portfolio and pricing outcomes under different macro, credit, and funding assumptions.
- Cross‑Team Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with commercial, risk, and capital teams to support pricing decisions, and prepare clear analysis and reporting for internal stakeholders.
Candidate Skillset:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in portfolio pricing, risk management, financial analysis, or a similar role.
- Proven experience collaborating across multiple business units.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and SQL.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and align cross‑functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python) and familiarity with business intelligence software.
Desirable Skills:
- Prior experience in small‑medium business financing space, asset‑backed securities, embedded finance platforms.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools for pricing optimization.
- Comfort with ambiguity.
