This role sits within the UK Financial Services Insights Team. You will support the delivery of UK and global research and insight projects across a range of sectors including banking, insurance, cryptocurrency, ESG, and FinTech.

Working closely with senior researchers, account management, new business, and offshore operations teams, you will help design and deliver high-quality research that meets client briefs, remains unbiased, and stands up to scrutiny — maintaining YouGov’s strong reputation and media presence.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):

  • Support senior researchers in the design and delivery of domestic and international quantitative research projects (end-to-end project management)
  • Develop and apply strong research fundamentals, including best-practice questionnaire design
  • Create data analysis plans and interpret findings to generate clear, actionable insights
  • Produce reports in PowerPoint (and occasionally Word), including data visualisation, commentary, headlines, and executive summaries
  • Work closely with operations teams responsible for scripting, fieldwork management, data processing, and coding
  • Collaborate with colleagues to quality-check and deliver projects to a high standard
  • Attend client meetings at various stages, including proposal discussions, project updates, reporting presentations, and follow-ups
  • Learn and apply internal systems, tools, and processes

These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:

  • Quantitative primary research experience in a client-facing role
  • Degree or HND in a relevant subject (e.g., social sciences, English) desirable, or equivalent industry experience
  • Industry-recognised qualification (e.g., MRS Advanced Certificate) desirable
  • Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills
  • Basic understanding of statistics and quantitative analysis (desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
