Reporting to a Director within the Consumer Sector team, you will manage and grow relationships with UK and international clients, delivering high-quality quantitative research projects across a range of industries including Retail, FMCG, Travel & Tourism, Transport, Utilities, and Hospitality. You will lead smaller projects independently while supporting larger, more complex studies with senior colleagues. Working closely with internal teams including Account Management, New Business, and offshore operations, you will design and deliver research that meets client objectives and upholds YouGov's high standards for accuracy, quality, and insight.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage quantitative research projects from project inception through to final delivery
- Manage selected client accounts with support from senior team members
- Coordinate with operations and support teams responsible for survey scripting, fieldwork, and data processing
- Develop analysis plans and interpret data to generate meaningful insights
- Produce reports with clear storytelling, including data visualisation, headlines, and summaries (primarily in PowerPoint)
- Quality check work produced by junior researchers and offshore teams
- Present findings to clients and participate in key meetings including project kick-offs and debriefs
- Support business development through proposal writing, costing, and responding to client briefs
- Mentor and support junior researchers across the team
Qualifications
- 3–5 years' experience in quantitative primary research within a client-facing role
- Experience delivering online research projects across multiple methodologies
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong client management and stakeholder communication abilities
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving capability
