Reporting to the Group Account Director, you'll be responsible for driving sales through cross-selling and upselling, ultimately increasing the value of your account group year on year.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
- Strategic Account Growth: Develop and implement strategic account plans for each client in your territory, working closely with the Group Account Director on sales planning and forecasting.
- Commercial Leadership: Lead pricing proposals, contract, and commercial negotiations.
- Relationship Building: Build and grow strong relationships with budget holders in your account group, representing YouGov at industry events to expand your client base.
- Innovative Solutions: Proactively identify strategic and innovative uses for our data to continually demonstrate the value of our solutions to clients.
- Product Expertise: Support the cross-product proposition and strategy for the sector, confidently pitching new products and showcasing how they solve client and sector challenges, differentiating us from competitors.
- Brand Reputation: Enhance YouGov’s reputation amongst clients within the agencies, media, technology, and digital sectors.
- Collaborative Success: Partner continuously with New Business, Client Services, and Product teams to deliver seamless solutions.
What You’ll Need To Bring
- A strong understanding of the role of research and data across media, technology, and advertising agencies, gained through relevant experience.
- Proven experience managing large, complex stakeholder relationships.
- A business development mindset and a desire to work in a high-growth environment.
- Familiarity with at least one sales methodology (preferably MEDPICC) and the key principles behind effective sales techniques.
