YouGov is looking for an Account Director to join our UK account management team and significantly impact our Agencies, Digital, Media, and Technology sector. As an Account Director at YouGov, you'll be the primary client-facing commercial lead for a key group of accounts. Reporting to the Group Account Director, you'll be responsible for driving sales through cross‑selling and upselling, ultimately increasing the value of your account group year on year.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Growth: Develop and implement strategic account plans for each client in your territory, working closely with the Group Account Director on sales planning and forecasting.
- Commercial Leadership: Lead pricing proposals, contract, and commercial negotiations.
- Relationship Building: Build and grow strong relationships with budget holders in your account group, representing YouGov at industry events to expand your client base.
- Innovative Solutions: Proactively identify strategic and innovative uses for our data continually demonstrate the value of our solutions to clients.
- Product Expertise: Support the cross‑product proposition and strategy for the sector, confidently pitching new products and showcasing how they solve client and sector challenges, differentiating us from competitors.
- Brand Reputation: Enhance YouGov’s reputation amongst clients within the agencies, media, technology, and digital sectors.
- Collaborative Success: Partner continuously with New Business, Client Services, and Product teams to deliver seamless solutions.
Qualifications
- A strong understanding of the role of research and data across media, technology, and advertising agencies, gained through relevant experience.
- Proven experience managing large, complex stakeholder relationships.
- A business development mindset and a desire to work in a high‑growth environment.
- Familiarity with at least one sales methodology (preferably MEDPICC) and the key principles behind effective sales techniques.
