Shift: Pitman shift - days and nights

We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to keep our high-speed production lines running safely and efficiently.

You’ll spend the majority of your time on mechanical fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance, with enough electrical knowledge to work safely, diagnose faults and support line recovery. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideal for an engineer who enjoys fixing problems properly and minimising downtime. We are open to strong engineers who have just passed their NVQ level 3 EPA as well as experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical fault finding and repair on production and packaging equipment
  • Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
  • Electrical fault diagnosis (sensors, motors, drives, panels). Safety focused, not design-led
  • Rapid response to breakdowns to keep production running
  • Identify and implement reliability and improvement opportunities
  • Work safely, following site and legal engineering standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Multi-skilled an advantage)
  • Manufacturing or FMCG maintenance experience
  • Confident with mechanical systems: gearboxes, bearings, chains, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics
  • Electrical safety awareness and fault-finding capability
  • Practical, proactive engineer with a strong work ethic
