We are seeking a proactive and meticulous part‑time Finance Manager to join our team for circa 2 days a week (Flexible hours). As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, working directly under the guidance of the CEO/COO and FD.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily financial operations, ensuring all activities are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain comprehensive financial records using Xero accounting software.
- Process all invoices, expense claims, credit card and bank transactions.
- Ensure costs are reviewed, authorisations and sign‑offs are in place and adhered to.
- Ensure bank accounts are reconciled daily; prepare and send supplier payment runs.
- Ensure timely billing and chase outstanding debtors for payments.
- Maintain a regular cadence of Balance Sheet reconciliation and control.
- Prepare monthly management accounts to be reviewed during board meetings; update and maintain the financial model.
- Prepare, validate and submit VAT return.
- Run end‑to‑end payroll administration on Xero, including all payments and submissions.
- Manage administration and submissions related to the Nest Pension scheme.
- Act as the primary contact for finance matters, liaise with accountants and advisors.
About You Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant accounting qualification or experience; ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA preferred.
- Demonstrable experience with Xero accounting and payroll software is essential; Hubdoc also ideal.
- Knowledge of HubSpot CRM would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and cloud‑based tools.
