A well-established company based in Rochester is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a hands-on role supporting management accounting, reconciliations and reporting across multiple business units.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Daily bank reconciliations and VAT returns
- Monthly journals including salaries and payroll-related entries
- Internal recharges and intercompany reconciliations
- Revenue, KPI and profit and loss reporting
- Fleet-related accounting including fuel cards, tolls and insurance
- Weekly finance and payroll reporting
- Month-end close support and ad-hoc finance duties
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
- Strong Excel and reconciliation skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
