General Manager Logistics

We are supporting a business who are looking for a General Manager to take full control of one of their branches within their logistics network.

This is an exciting time to join this organisation who are on a journey of transformation and we’re looking for a strong, strategic leader to help them shape the future of their logistics operations.

As General Manager, you’ll take full ownership of a key branch operation, leading both the performance and culture of the site. This is a high-impact role where you’ll balance day-to-day execution with long-term strategic thinking, helping them evolve through operational change and continuous improvement.

Location: Southampton, office based Monday – Friday

Your Role Will Involve:

• Leading all branch operations with full P&L responsibility
• Improving productivity, service delivery and client retention
• Driving cultural and operational change in line with business transformation goals
• Using data and KPIs to identify gaps and opportunities
• Coaching and developing high-performing teams
• Collaborating with senior leaders across Ops, HR, Finance & Commercial
• Acting as a visible, trusted leader during change and growth

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Branch Manager, or senior Ops leader in logistics or supply chain
• Strong commercial and operational mindset
• Hands-on leadership style with experience leading through change or transformation
• Passion for team development, process improvement and client excellence
• Comfortable with ambiguity able to take ownership, adapt quickly, and move things forward
