Leeds-based hybrid role covering Yorkshire.
YouPlatforms is the group behind Leeds-List, Yorkshire-List and Manchester-List β three of the North's most influential lifestyle media brands. Our platforms connect millions of engaged readers with the best things to do, places to go, and businesses to discover.
We are looking for a proven Business Development Executive to work with regional and national advertisers to reach these audiences through creative media partnerships. Our platforms have six-times better dwell time than the industry average, resulting in more tracked conversions.
The role:
- You will be responsible for driving new business across our portfolio β selling digital media, content, and brand partnerships that deliver measurable ROI for clients.
- This is a hands-on, front-line sales role: you will be working with the BDMs on prospecting and appointment setting, alongside owning your pipeline, from outreach to close, supported by a creative and data-driven marketing team.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, contact and convert new advertisers and brand partners across key sectors (hospitality, leisure, property, travel, retail, automotive and more).
- Build a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking and consultative selling.
- Develop proposals and media plans that align with client objectives and audience insights.
- Work collaboratively with the content, design and marketing teams to bring campaigns to life.
- Hit and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets with a disciplined, data-driven approach.
- Work closely with the delivery team to oversee client relationships post-sale to ensure renewals and upsells.
- Stay up to date with market trends and competitor activity in regional and digital advertising.
About you:
- 2 years of experience in B2B sales or partnerships (media or advertising preferred).
- Proven ability to win new business and consistently hit sales targets.
- Confident presenting to clients of all levels β from independent venues to marketing heads.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commercial acumen β you understand what drives client ROI and campaign success.
- Highly self-motivated, organised and persistent.
- Familiar with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
Our application process:
- We will be reaching out by email to arrange an initial informal chat by phone in the first instance.
- You will be invited to pitch to us, so we will provide you with our product info.
- This will be followed by an in-person interview where you can get a feel for us and the role.
Experience required:
- A minimum of 2 years of B2B sales/partnership experience.
- Experience working with the hospitality, leisure and events industry.
- Marketing or advertising sales experience is advantageous.
- Evidence of your track record of building a pipeline and generating revenue.
