We’re looking for an experienced Senior Garment Technologist to join our Production & Tech team and lead garment development across menswear, womenswear and unisex ranges.
About the role
You’ll manage the technical development process from prototype through to production, overseeing quality, fit and compliance while mentoring a Junior Garment Tech. Working closely with Design, Production and our global supplier base, you’ll help maintain and evolve YMC’s high technical standards.
Key responsibilities
- Upholding quality & fit standards – paramount for YMC
- Organise & lead garment fit sessions, pattern amendments and technical sign-off across woven, jersey and knit categories
- Manage and develop a Junior Garment Technologist
- Set up and maintain tech specs, fit comments and seasonal data in PLM
- Liaise with global suppliers on quality, AQLs, testing and compliance
- Oversee grading rules and consistency across all ranges
- Manage care labels, wash care, testing and technical manuals
- Attend factory visits and collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Production, E-commerce and Retail teams
About you
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Senior Garment Technologist
- Strong technical knowledge of woven, jersey and knit construction
- A strong eye for detail and appreciation of the YMC brand aesthetic
- Confident in fit, quality control and problem-solving
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working to deadlines
- Experienced with PLM and Excel
- Confident communicator and collaborative team player
- Willing to travel for factory visits

- Full-time, based in our Kentish Town office
- Hybrid working: 1 day WFH per week after probation
