We’re looking for a People Partner to join our team to be a trusted advisor to managers across the business and drive people initiatives that align with our culture and growth ambitions. You’ll cover the full employee lifecycle, support performance and engagement strategies, and champion scalable, compliant and people-first practices across our global teams.

Yoto’s People Team
Our People Team is not like a normal HR function. We are a small, passionate team who genuinely love what we do. We pride ourselves on being ingrained in the business and on being a force for good. Our focus is on helping the fast-growing Yoto team be the best version of themselves and on continuing to build and foster a flexible, inclusive and high-performance culture. We are excited by building a team of fantastic people and making sure Yoto is a place where everyone can thrive, through relevant People initiatives which meet the business’ scaling demands. The People Team is based in the UK but supports our US, France and Singapore entities, as well as our teams in Canada and Australia.
What you’ll be doing :
- Partner with managers (Head of and below) on all people-related topics
- Manage performance cycles end-to-end, building a feedback culture throughout the business and ensuring the ‘Your Yoto Story’ career framework is ingrained in development conversations
- Collaborate on global employee engagement strategies and survey action planning
- Support and advise on Employee Relations cases globally
- Lead global policy development and employment law compliance (with local counsel as needed)
- Deliver and evolve our Learning & Development offering, including management of our High Performance / High Potential programme
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration, including management of our Deel Employer of Record relationship
- Lead the integration of AI tools and emerging technologies into People processes, driving automation and efficiency across workflows
- Design and deliver (personally or via third parties) staff training to build capability in effectively leveraging AI as a collaborative tool and teammate.
- Lead role in building our culture as we continue to scale globally, optimising our hybrid working approaches through togetherness and innovative ways of working
- Act as a wellbeing advocate and help foster a culture of care, connection and support across teams
- Actively participate in the Yoto DEI Forum and agenda – driving inclusive practices and learning across the organisation
- Feed in external trends, identifying ways we can lead as an employer of choice
- Own people project delivery, according to People Roadmap
- Line manage and develop the People Operations Assistant
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a generalist People role, ideally in a fast-growth / scale-up environment
- A human-first approach and ability to think outside the box when it comes to appropriate solutions. You connect with people easily, build rapport, and develop trusting relationships quickly.
- Clear, influential and compassionate communicator – a cultural force for good
- Humble and discreet – an approachable confidant
- Willingness to operate at both a strategic and operational level to support Yoto’s growth, and to be truly accountable for your actions
- Experience partnering with managers staff across multiple functions and devising solutions that are bespoke to their needs and challenges.
- Confident with ER cases and global policy compliance – taking the necessary external advice where required
- Thoughtful, data driven decision maker
- Proactive and tech-savvy, with a strong interest in harnessing AI and digital tools to streamline HR operations and enhance employee experience.
- Proven project management experience with a hands-on approach and good judgement
- Positive collaborator and passionate about the impact of positive People practices
- Desirable: experience operating in an international environment (particularly US)
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 based on experience
What you can expect from Yoto:
- Flexibility: Hybrid working – expectation of 1 day a week on average, but you are welcome to come in more than this. How you meet the minimum expectation is up to you, to ensure you\’re happy and productive in your role whilst also getting that vital face time with your colleagues. Take advantage of our ‘work from anywhere’ policy to work from a different location for up to 6 weeks every year. Summer Hours policy to use between the months of June and August.

After 4 years of service, you are also eligible for our sabbatical policy offering up to 3 months\’ of unpaid sabbatical.
