We’re looking for a People Assistant to support the People team across core operations, employee experience, and data. This role offers hands‑on experience across the full employee lifecycle and is a great opportunity to develop a generalist foundation in a high‑performing People function.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support delivery of the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, changes, exits, and compliance documentation.
- Own and continuously improve the onboarding experience, coordinating the first week, buddy allocation, and new starter support.
- Maintain and continuously improve People systems (Personio and CultureAmp), ensuring high levels of data accuracy and integrity.
- Proactively identify opportunities to use tools (including AI where appropriate) to simplify processes, reduce manual work, and improve the employee experience.
- Provide data for reporting and insights for dashboards, audits, and board packs.
- Support internal communications and maintain Notion pages (employee handbook, policies, guidance, updates).
- Cultural ambassador – support the Ministry of Fun (social team) with internal events and socials, and be the go‑to person for new starters.
- Support benefits administration (enrolment, renewals, queries).
- In partnership with the EA, support the smooth running of the office (supplies, gifts, logistics).
- Contribute to wider People team initiatives and projects – plenty of opportunity to get hands‑on involvement in People initiatives and projects.
- Champion Yoto’s vision, mission, and values, ensuring they are reflected in the employee experience.
What you’ll bring:

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000, dependent on the candidate and what you will bring to our team!
